About

An Older Brother Helping a Younger Brother.

Or reaching out to someone who needs a little help.

This blog is about passing on knowledge, advice, and tips from an experienced guy to men of all ages who need a little help and could use manly advice.

We will cover life experiences, travel, dating, divorces, breakups, starting all over, and how to become a better man.

Manliness United is not an attack on feminism but a tribute to masculinity.

We guys need our space to talk about manly issues and things bugging us, even when we don’t like to talk about it.

My goal with this blog is to open up and talk about topics and past experiences that can be a little hard to discuss as a man. We have our pride, our testosterone levels, and fear of showing feelings, and crying. But still, we need to open up a little sometimes and be genuine with our feelings.

My blog is about passing on life experiences and things I tried. Stuff, I did well. My fuckups and everything in between.

I’m Martin. Btw. I turned 50 last year, and I am at that point in life where I’m about to pass on my life experiences to the less experienced man. Younger generations and so on.

Who Am I?

I’m Martin. Btw. I turned 50 last year, and I am at that point in life where I’m about to pass on my life experiences to less experienced men, younger generations, and so on.

When I was young, I expected my life to turn out like many men’s. Finding a girlfriend, getting married, buying a house, a car, and getting kids. Living happily ever after for more than one day to retire and living on the stacks of cash generated throughout life.

But for me, it didn’t turn out quite that way. Instead, I ended up living in different countries. Doing all sorts of work, from working in the TV industry to a more digital nomadic lifestyle doing online marketing.

Instead of getting married, I have spent years in the bar scene going out, nightclubbing, getting drunk, getting sober, and catching women. I’ve been having all sorts of sexual experiences and tried out different things.

Yes, I did manage to have longer relationships, five years max. But every time mortgages or living in suburban communities come up, I’m ready to run as far away as possible like a wild animal feeling trapped.

I’ve tried to change, to adapt, to make girlfriends happy. But every time I try, I just end up getting fat because It makes me unhappy.

In all this turmoil, I did manage to get a daughter. That itself is not material to a whole different blog. “Crazy Fathers and Teenager Daughters” I am unsure how much I will bring her into this blog.

Because this is more about you, learning from me to avoid doing the same fuckups as I did.

Moving Forward

One great thing for me about turning 50 was the acknowledgment of who I am and then just loving myself for it. I accept that I do things differently and then love doing them.

I promise to share those future experiences with you guys as well.

Why This Blog?

Just like billionaires becoming philanthropic, our duty as men is to pass on our knowledge and experiences.

This blog is a side project of mine to share life experiences and pass on knowledge that every man can benefit from.

Remember that I’m not a shrink, a psychiatrist, or a healthcare professional. My tips and advice can never replace a medical evaluation if you are on that level.

What I Do For a Living

In my regular life, I work as an online marketing manager. I’ve been in marketing, creating online presences for the last 16 years.

I’m blessed to work home litterarly from anywhere in the world. I had done so for a long time before everybody became digital nomads after COVID.

You can find my LinkedIn profile here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/martin-gram/. And yeah, let’s hook up there if you are in a related business.

Where I Currently Live

I’m currently residing in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. I like the warmer climate and the fact that you can go to the beach when you want. I have been here for more than one and a half years and am planning to move on in a couple of months. It’s time to get some new experiences.

I like to make short, funny videos for Instagram when I travel and experience new things. Let’s connect on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/mr.martingram/
